Did You Know? Cisse "Lea" Cameron and Reb "Ryder" Brown are married to each other
in real life! See below for an updated photo.
Cisse CameronLea Jansen i.e., "Debbie Reynolds," "Shari Lewis" Did you see Porky's 2? Remember the really naked blonde with the killer bod? That's our Lea! She also made a film called The Happy Hooker Goes to Washington, which implies nudity, but I can't personally vouch for that one. Also, keep your eyes open if you watch Three's Company on Nick At Nite or TV Land. In one of the later Terri episodes, Cisse appears in a cookie contest Jack enters. She plays one of the competitors Jack flirts with, even though he's in disguise as an old woman. Naturally, zaniness ensues.
This guy has been around quite a while, and he's still out there. His credits include nearly 70 projects to date, including Barbarella, The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, The Hawaiians, and The Love Machine. He's appeared in another MST3k feature, Diabolik, a very 1960s film, where he looked to me like a cross between A-Ha's Morten Harket and actor Maxwell Caulfield. In other words, gorgeous! He's still lookin' pretty good, quite frankly. Click below to visit his web site.
But even John Phillip Law has nothing on Cameron Mitchell. Born in 1918 and acting since the 40s, Mitchell has appeared in over 300 movies, TV shows, and Broadway productions. He starred in How To Marry A Millionaire with Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Becall, and played Jigger Craigin in the 1956 film version of the musical Carousel. He did a number of foreign films in the 1960s, but had reached Space Mutiny status by 1988. His last movie was as Dr. Cadaver in 1995's Jack-O. Mitchell died of lung cancer on July 6, 1994. .
Billy Second played Rona in 1987's Hostage, and appeared in Pirates of the Plain in 1999 as Mrs. Yates.
Space Mutiny launched Rufus Swart's legacy of bit roles. In 1988 alone he appeared in Space Mutiny, Purgatory, and The House of Usher. He went on to also do River of Death (1989), Dust Devil (1992), and Cyborg Cop (1994).
I couldn't help it, I just had to throw this guy in here. I really dug his deep voice. But other than Space Mutiny, the only other project he's done (to my and the Internet Movie Database's knowledge) is stuntwork for Any Man's Death in 1988.

Reb BrownDave Ryder i.e., There's tons, including "Squat Hardthrust," "Gristle McThornbody," and "Bob Johnson" Reb Brown also has a lot of projects under his acting belt, including such action films as Flight of the Intruder, Street Hunter, Death of A Soldier, Howling II and a TV-movie based on A Brave New World. He's also appeared in many television shows, including Three's Company, Alice, CHiPs (recurring role), Emergency!, Kojak, Happy Days, Bosom Buddies, Miami Vice, Players, and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Sierra Entertainment Corporation. Cisse Cameron and Reb Brown (real life spouses) appear together again in the 1997 movie, The Deli.
James Ryan wrote and directed the 1999 film, The Young Girl and the Monsoon. He has received several arts fellowships and is a Professor of Playwriting at the Actors Studio School of Drama at the New School University. He's an extensive playwright, and has written the book Screenwriting From the Heart. Click on the link below for the official website of his newest film, and read his biography and see a recent photo.
Also starred as Keach in 1990's River of Diamonds, and as Doc in the 1988 film, White Ghost.
You'd probably expect an older man like this one to be in more films, but the truth is he's done only two others: Survival Zone and Scavengers. Mike: "I was just about to do the Monster Mash." Tom: "Quiet! Mitch Miller's on!"
Space Mutiny is Madyelene Reynel's only movie...but the voice of Jeannera was played by Camille Mitchell, Cameron Mitchell's daughter. Now how creepy is that? Mike: "Christmas has come early to Santa..."
Since I'm on the subject of blood relatives, let's not forget Cameron Mitchell's son Chip. He's also starred in 1984's Brother From Another Planet.

David Winters Director Remember the 80s skateboarding movie Thrashin', starring Josh "Brand-From-The-Goonies" Brolin? It was also directed by David Winters. So was Alice Cooper's Welcome to My Nightmare, from 1975. He also directed Rage To Kill, and Code Name Vengeance, two movies which also starred Cameron Mitchell. Aside from these and several other directing credits, Winters wrote both The Last Horror Film (1984) and Invasion Force (1990). Since then he's been producing more direct-to-video films, including Firehead, Raw Nerve, Center of the Web, Raw Justice, and Codename: Silencer. |
Maria Dante Writer The only other known script written by Maria Dante was 1987's Mission: The Kill, which was also directed and co-produced by David Winters, and starred in by Space Mutiny's own Cameron Mitchell. |
