Space Mutiny has to rank up there with the all-time best. The movie itself is
funny enough, but the one-liners provided by Mike and his bots are priceless. To
be completely honest, I don't think I could even clearly explain the plot in detail
for this one. It's difficult to concentrate on a real storyline when you're too
busy wiping the tears from your eyes from laughing so hard. All I know is this:
there's a traitor on the Southern Sun (the spaceship that's been housing these
characters for generations). He's working with the bad guy, Kalgan, who's trying
to obtain the ship's secrets. Appointed to fight him off is a "big, brave brick of
meat" named David Ryder. Tagging along is the captain's daughter, Lea. What really
goes over my head is the purpose of the Bellarians, these half-naked women who squirm around in a dark room on the ship,
supposedly affecting what happens through the use of their magic "dandelion seeds."
Best not to analyze this film to closely. Just enjoy it. :)
