
Victor Hoverson
Victor Hoverson, 88, of Strathcona, MN, died
on Thursday morning, September 8, 2011 in Pioneer Memorial Care Center at
Erskine, MN.
Victor Leroy Hoverson, the son of Lawrence & Minnie
(Everson) Hoverson, was born July 14, 1923 on the family’s home farm at
Niagara, ND. He was baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He
attended the Elkmount District #33 Country School at rural Fordville, ND.
Victor was in the U.S. Army during W.W.
2, from 1944 to 1946 and served in the Southern Philippines Liberation. He married Audrey Trovatten on July 7, 1955
at St. Paul, MN. Audrey died on November
3, 1964. Victor farmed in the
Strathcona, MN area since 1960. He
married Irene Loken on December 19, 1965 at Larimore, ND.
Victor was a member of Bethel Lutheran
Church, The American Legion Post 88 of Greenbush and he had served on the Deer
Township Board for many years.
He is survived by wife—Irene.

great-grandchildren.

Mitchell, South Dakota and a Brother—Russell,
& wife Jean Hoverson of
Grand Forks, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first
wife—Audrey, Sisters—Edna, Arlene, Ella, Lois & Leila and Brothers—Arthur, Albert, Gilbert &
Chester.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, September 12, 2011 in Bethel Lutheran Church of Greenbush with Pastor Mark Mathews, officiating. Special music was provided by Nikki Wojchowski & Delphin Wahl. Linda Sovde was at the organ. Casket Bearers were Victor’s eleven Grandchildren, Jeremy & Taryn Hoverson, Timothy & John M. Stanisawski, Valarie (Stanislawski) Holzer, Jon Behrens, Deann (Loken) Fenster, Janine (Loken) Hofman, Jay, Darik & Paul Loken. The Honorary Pallbearers were Victor’s 21 Great-Grandchildren.
Burial was in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery of Greenbush with Military Honors provided by Moen-Zimek Post 88, American Legion of Greenbush, with assistance from the Minnesota National Guard.
Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush was in charge of arrangements.
