Ronald Remme
Ronald Remme, 58, of Donaldson, MN, died October 5, 2014 at his home of a massive stroke.
Ronald Duane Remme, the son of Donald and Catharine (Schaefer) Remme, was born August 2, 1956 at Drayton, ND. He grew up at Robbin, MN and attended school at Kennedy, MN. He graduated from Kennedy High School, Class of 1975.
Ron was a grain elevator employee and worked at Minn-Dak Growers in Donaldson and D & D Commodities in Stephen, MN. Ron also served as the Mayor of Donaldson, MN for many years.
He enjoyed time with nieces and nephews and was an avid military historian. He also enjoyed attending gun shows and exhibits.
Ron is survived by 3 sisters—Mary Solberg of Greenbush,
Brenda (Kent) McFarlane of Warroad, MN and
Roberta Remme of Goodridge, MN.
5 nieces & nephews—Kelsey (Steve) Roth of Grand Forks, ND, Kasey Solberg of Badger, MN, Joel (Kim) McFarlane of Eagan, MN, Jackie (Reid) Merriman of Warroad & Katie (Nathan) Schuette of Warroad.
4 great-nieces & nephews, Nora, Charles, Clara & Brody.
1 Aunt—Delores Haugtvedt of Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncles and aunts.
A memorial service was held for Ron on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush, MN with Father Luis Buitron, officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Kasey Solberg, James Larson, Rick Solberg and The Lonnie & Tabitha Thompson Family.
Burial was in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery at Greenbush. Arrangements were with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush.
