Robert D. Hanson

Robert Duane Hanson, 58, of Karlstad, MN, died on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Robert Duane Hanson, the son of Alfon Wilson & Ethel Evelyn (Snare) Hanson, was born May 18, 1956 in Karlstad, MN. He graduated from Karlstad High School in 1974, where he played football and was a member of the Future Farmers of America.

Robert has lived in the Donaldson, Kennedy and Karlstad areas and worked for the Roger Bogestad Farms at Donaldson, MN for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, football, driving around and watching cooking and do-it-yourself programs on TV. He was a member of softball teams in Donaldson, pool and bowling leagues.

Robert is survived by children: Heather (Kevin) Mai of Pembroke, Georgia; Veronica (Shaune) Redfield of Fargo, ND; Christopher (Lisa) Hanson of Horace, ND and Sarah Hanson of Drayton, ND. Two grandchildren—Analena and RoseMary. Brother—Wayne (Kely) Hanson of Karlstad, MN and Aunt Esther Pietruszewski of Kennedy, MN & Uncle Alvin Snare of International Falls, MN, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles.

A Memorial Service was held on Monday, January 5, 2015 in First Lutheran Church of Karlstad, MN, with Pastor Gary Halverson, officiating.

Spring inurnment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Donaldson, MN.
