Randy Graves
Randy Graves, 56, of Roosevelt, MN died on
Saturday, August 24, 2013 in LifeCare Roseau Manor at
Roseau, MN, just 5 days short of his 57th birthday.
Randy Lee Graves, the son of Larry and Connie (Hughes) Graves, was born August 29, 1956 in Redding, California. Randy spent his early childhood in the Fresno, CA area and later moved to Yerka, CA where he graduated from high school. Randy then joined the U.S. Army and advanced to the rank of Sergeant and became a Ranger in the 116th Armored Cavalry. He earned badges in parachute, expert infantry and sharpshooting. Following his discharge, he attended college in Klamatha Falls, Oregon, majoring in Manufacturing and Gunsmithing.
Randy married Jessie (Friesner) Lowry on August 14, 1988 and they moved to Roosevelt, MN. Randy drove long distance truck until his illness.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, repairing firearms and visiting with his friends. He was a devoted grandfather and loved his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his wife—Jessie. His step-children—Sherree (Mark) Rodriguez, Mark (Kristen) VanDeHey, Crystal (Jim) Burton, Bruce (Cindy) Pepperling, his step-mother—Sharon Graves, brother—Troy Graves, Uncle—Ron Hughes and 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Private family services will be held in California at a later date.
