Loretta Hendrickson

Loretta Hendrickson, 84, of Greenbush, MN, died on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, MN.

Loretta Agnes Hendrickson was born on August 28, 1934 to parents Alex and Agnes (Bizek) Dembiczak, in Greenbush, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith and was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenbush. She attended the Haug-Leo school until its closing, then attended and graduated from Greenbush High School. Following graduation Loretta worked in Grand Forks, ND as a dental hygienist. She also spent time in Washington state before moving back to Greenbush.

On September 17, 1955 Loretta married Glen Hendrickson; together they farmed and raised their family on their farm east of Greenbush.

Loretta held many part-time jobs throughout her lifetime. She loved spending time visiting with friends, playing bingo, Red Hat Society meetings, traveling and attending any music event she could get to. Although a city girl at heart; she also enjoyed fishing, berry picking and gardening. She especially enjoyed family events and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s functions.

Loretta is survived by her 4 children - Glennette (Myron) Lee of Badger, MN, Denise (Randy) Bauer of Warroad, MN, Lonnie (Kelly) Hendrickson of Greenbush, MN, and Shannon (Cecelia) Hendrickson of Greenbush, MN.

9 Grandchildren – Tracy Bakke (Skooter Thompson), Shane (Natasha) Lee, Cory (Carly) Bauer, Cody Bauer (Lana Kelly), Lindsey (Kevin) Cota, Arrial Hendrickson (Lee Lovelace), Thomas, JaDen, and Jorden Hendrickson.

10 Great-Grandchildren – Kolby & Blayze Thompson, Peyton & Shelby Lee, River Bauer, Aaron, Hailey, and Conner Cota, Emma Burkel and Xander Lovelace.

Sister Shirley (Morris) Goos of Roseau, MN and brother Rudy Dembiczak of Karlstad, MN and several nieces and nephews.

Loretta was welcomed into her heavenly home by her parents Alex & Agnes Dembiczak, her husband Glen Hendrickson, her sisters-in-law Tanya Dembiczak, Bev Penas, & Ruby Mekash, and brothers-in-law Julius Janson, Thorphan Hendrickson, Ferdie Froemke, Ernie Mekash & Duane Penas.

Funeral Service were held on Friday, December 28 at 10:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Father George Noel, officiating. Music was provided by Jeanne Novacek, pianist and Jody Kirkeide, vocalist. Eucharistic Ministers were Jan Burkel and Bob Hager. The Readers were Jorden Hendrickson & Cody Bauer for the Funeral Mass. Readers for the Vigil Prayer Service on Thursday evening were Jorden Hendrickson & Tracy Bakke. The Gift Bearers were the Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. The Altar Server was John Wilebski III.

Pallbearers were Shane Lee, Lindsey Cota, Cody Bauer, JaDen, Thomas and Jorden Hendrickson.

Special Honors group was the Red Hat Society.

Burial was in Blessed Sacrament Cemetery with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of arrangements.
