Joseph Wojciechowski

 

     Joseph Wojciechowski, 36, of Karlstad, MN, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in a traffic accident near Halma, MN. 

     Joseph Wojciechowski, the son of Rudy Sr. and Lorraine (Kalinowski) Wojiechowski, was born January 18, 1973 at Karlstad, MN.  He grew up and attended school at Karlstad.  

    He worked for Transystems Trucking for 3 years and for Bloomquist Farms, Inc., both at Drayton, ND for many years.  He also worked on the home farm where he raised cattle with his father.  Joseph was a 9 year member of the Sons of American Legion, Halma-Lake Bronson Post 315.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved snowmobiling.  He especially enjoyed time with his nieces and nephews.

    He is survived by his father—Rudy Sr.

    2 brothers & 4 sisters—Laureen (Roy) Carlson of Badger, MN,  Rudy Wojciechowski Jr. of Halma,   Pauline (David) Pokrzywinski of Drayton, ND,  Michael (Patty) Wojciechowski of Strathcona, MN, KayLynn Wojciechowski & Barbara Wojciechowski, both of Karlstad.

     16 nieces & nephews & 2 great-nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his mother in 1995, 2 brothers & a sister in 1971, his brother James in 2006 and a nephew—Austin Joseph in 2006.

       Funeral Services were held on Monday, Jan. 18 at in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Father Todd Arends, officiating.  Music was provided by Shane Olson, Heather Carlson, Mary & Katie Schafer.  Celeste Engen was the Reader.  Communion ministers were Henryka Evans and Rebecca Nubson.  Pallbearers were Joe’s nephews; Joshua, Matthew & Thomas Carlson, Maximillian & Alexander Pokrzywinski, Dylan Krolak, & Derrik, Brandon, Adam & Justin Wojciechowski.  Honorary Pallbearers were his nieces & great-nephews. Special group attending were Halma-Lake Bronson Legion and Sons of Legion Post 315 members.  Interment will be in Blessed Sacrament Cemetery of Greenbush with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush, MN in charge of arrangements.
