She worked as a dietary aid at the Greenbush hospital and nursing home, retiring in December of 1993 after 21 years of service. She enjoyed needlework, quilting, collecting music boxes, taking pictures and videos and also loved picking berries.  She was proud of the fact she made a quilt for each member of her family. She also has a couple of baby quilts for the new little ones yet to come. She was so proud of her big family!  She was a member of the Grace Evangelical Church of Strathcona, where she was active in their Ladies Aid and spent many years as one of their Presidents. She had a strong faith and not a card was given by her without a praying hands sticker attached.
