Ingvald Borreson, age 83, of Strathcona, MN, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.
Ingvald Sam Borreson, the son of Arne
& Nettie (Hoff) Borreson, was born December 6, 1929 on the home farm at
Strathcona, MN. He grew up and attended
school there. He was baptized June 8,
1930 at Poplar Grove Church of Strathcona and confirmed December 19, 1943 at
Poplar Grove.
He
married Mae Edna Erickson on June 27, 1959 in Thief River Falls, MN. They farmed the home farm at rural
Strathcona. He also worked for Keine
Farms, Elmer Johnson House Moving at Warren, MN, Arctic Cat for 18 years,
Grunig Farms and S & F Farms. He
also enjoyed farming for himself.
Ingvald was a lifetime member of Gustav Adolph Church and a member of
the church council.
He is survived by his wife of 53
years—Mae.

Strathcona, Kevin (Becky) Borreson of
Strathcona & Karla (Dion) Nelson of Karlstad, MN.
6 grandchildren—Lindsey (Andy Krank)
Borreson, Kevin Borreson, Kendra (Nik Teggatz) Borreson, Lynn Borreson, Briana & McKenna Nelson.

Zoey Teggatz.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, February 5 in Gustav Adolph Lutheran Church in Strathcona with Pastor Rena Peterson, officiating. Special vocal music was provided by Arlene Jenson, JoAnne Strandlund and Lindsey Borreson. Lois Peterson was at the piano. The Pallbearers were Angelo & Arno Borreson, Mark Bratland, David Stauffenecker, Eileen Waage, Jane Schaumburg, Renay Anderson & Joann Christian. Honorary Pallbearers were his nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery at Strathcona with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of arrangements.
