Frances Reese

Frances N. Reese, age 81, of Staples, MN, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her home in Staples.

Frances was born on November 13, 1933 in Greenbush, MN to parents Frank and Martha (Gonshorowski) Novacek. She married Gregory H. Reese on January 26, 1952 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush. They enjoyed 38 ½ years of married life. They had 8 children.

She is survived by her children - Michelle (Larry) Kern of Greenbush,

MN; Janelle (Gordon) Thompson of Staples, MN; Gregory (Patricia) Reese of

Crookston, MN; Lynnelle (Dennis) Hanson of Staples, MN; John (Barbara) Reese of Staples, MN; Paul (Pamela) Reese of Fertile, MN; Carmelle (Josef) Debbins of Phoenix, AZ; Gizelle (William) Steffl of Andover, MN.

35 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Martha Novacek; her Husband, Gregory H. Reese Sr.; brother, Chester Novacek and Son-In-Law, Gordon L. Thompson.

Visitation was held on Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN with prayer service at 7:00PM.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 9:00AM at Sacred Heart Church in Staples.

A local prayer service was held on Thursday, May 14, at 4 PM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Father Luis Buitron, officiating.

Interment was in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery in Greenbush following the prayer service.

Arrangements were with Taylor Funeral Home of Staples, MN.
