
Evelyn Waage
Evelyn Waage, 94, Greenbush, MN, died on
Saturday, June 27, 2009 at LifeCare-Greenbush Manor in Greenbush.
Evelyn
Waage was born Eva Evelyn Erickson, the daughter of Oscar & Ida (Borgen)
Erickson in Nereson Township, Roseau County, MN, where grew up and attended
school. She worked in Grand Forks,
Fargo, Minneapolis and Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
She married Otto Norman Waage on July 15, 1940 in Greenbush. They farmed in Hereim Township, near
Greenbush, MN for many years. Otto died
on January 31, 1995. Evelyn entered the
Greenbush Nursing Home in November, 2006.
Evelyn was
an active member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Greenbush and later the
United Free Lutheran Church of Greenbush.
She loved to entertain people and play cards. She loved her family, it was the most
important part of her life.

Rhonda (Mike) Callahan of Manvel, ND and
sons Sylvester & Hoff.
Ryan (Robin) Waage of Greenbush and children
Payton, Ethan & Dalton.
Ross
(Madeline) Waage of Strathcona and daughters Katelyn & Jocelyn.
She was
preceded in death by her parents, Husband in 1995, 1 son—Gerald Waage in 2008, and her
brothers and sisters: Gladys, Norman,
Bertha, Walter and Ervin.
Funeral
Services were held on Wednesday, July 01, 2009 in United Free Lutheran Church
of Greenbush with Pastor LeRoy Petersen and Pastor Alvin Sather,
officiating. Music was provided by
Rhonda Callahan, Robin Waage and the Great-Grandchildren. Casket Bearers were her nine
grandchildren. Interment was in
Zion Lutheran Cemetery or rural
Greenbush with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of arrangements.
