Doris “Dodie” Hagen Crutchfield

 

      Doris  Crutchfield died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Siler City, North Carolina.

 

      Dodie Crutchfield was born Doris Hagen, the daughter of Fred and Esther (Olson) Hagen on February 13, 1923 at Greenbush, MN.  She grew up and attended rural school at Greenbush.  She married Adolph Skeim and they lived in International Falls, MN for many years.  Adolph died in 1971.

 

      She married Thomas Crutchfield and moved to North Carolina where she has lived since.

 

      She is survived by her husband—Thomas Crutchfield of Siler City, NC.

2 sons—David Skeim of Bemidji, MN and Mitch (Nancy) Skeim of Thief River Falls, MN.  Step-daughter—Sheila Perkins of Evansville, IN,  Step-son—Charles Crutchfield of Wilmington, NC.  7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

      She was preceded in death by her parents and all eleven of her siblings.

 

      Dodie  Crutchfield died on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Coventry House in Siler City, NC at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 6 days.

 

      A memorial service was also held in North Carolina on February 14.

 

      Graveside Memorial Services were held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery of rural Greenbush with Pastor Mark Mathews, officiating.  Local arrangements were with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush.
