Betty Dvergsten

Betty Dvergsten, 87, of Buffalo, MN, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in the Cottagewood Senior Communities Assisted Living facility at Buffalo, MN.

Betty Dvergsten was born Betty J. McGuire on February 21, 1927 at Badger, MN. She grew up at Badger and graduated from Badger High School, Class of 1946.

She taught school at Goodridge, MN and in District #1 School at Greenbush, MN.

She married Arnold Dvergsten on June 9, 1948. They lived at International Falls, MN for many years. Arnold died on May 20, 1988. Betty later lived at Rockford, MN and Buffalo, MN.

She is survived by 3 Grandsons—Glenn and Christopher Dvergsten of Minneapolis, MN and Robert Greenwaldt of International Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold in 1988, an infant daughter—Dorothy in 1953 and sons—Edward Dvergsten in 2000 and Charles Dvergsten in 2009.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush with Pastor Mark Mathews, officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery of Greenbush.
